TaskRel Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2, 2026 · Version 2.1

TaskRel is operated by Sierra Link L.L.C., a Florida limited liability company ("TaskRel", "we", "us").

1. Who you are contracting with

Contact: support@taskrel.com
Mail: 2212 S Chickasaw Trail, Unit #2275, Orlando, FL 32825, United States

By creating an account or using TaskRel you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use TaskRel.

2. What TaskRel is

TaskRel is a web application for service businesses: build and send quotes, turn them into invoices, schedule jobs, and record completed work with photos and a client signature.

TaskRel is a tool, not a party to your work. We do not perform your services, do not set your prices, do not employ your crew, and are not a party to any agreement between you and your client.

TaskRel is a website and installable web app. There is no TaskRel mobile app on the Apple App Store or Google Play, and these Terms grant no mobile application licence.

3. Your account

You need an account to use TaskRel. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us at support@taskrel.com if you believe it has been accessed without your permission.

TaskRel is for business use by people 18 or older. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly create accounts for minors.

4. Subscription, renewal, and cancellation

TaskRel is sold as a paid subscription on one of two plans:

  • Monthly: $24.99 per month.
  • Yearly: $250 per year, billed once for a 12-month term.
  • It renews automatically. Your subscription continues and your payment method is charged each billing period until you cancel. By subscribing you expressly consent to this recurring charge.
  • When you’re charged. On the day you subscribe, then on the same cadence each period, at the then-current price.
  • Free trial. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial. A payment method is required up front, and unless you cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically at the end of it at the then-current price. The trial is available once, on your first subscription only. If you have subscribed before, no trial applies.
  • Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before a price change takes effect, and the new price applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
  • Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Your subscription stays active and you keep full access until that date. We do not provide refunds or partial refunds for the current or any prior billing period. You do not need to email or call us to cancel.
  • Complimentary access. We may grant complimentary access by access code. Access granted this way has no payment method attached and no charge is made unless and until you subscribe.
  • Taxes. The monthly price is inclusive of any applicable sales or use tax. The annual price excludes applicable sales or use tax, which we may add where required.
  • Non-payment. If a charge fails we may suspend access until it is resolved.

Payment methods. TaskRel accepts the payment methods supported by Stripe Checkout. We do not accept PayPal, and TaskRel sells no physical goods, so no shipping charges ever apply.

4a. Yearly plan terms

Your yearly subscription runs for 12 months and renews automatically for another 12 months at the then-current price unless you cancel before the end of the term.

We will send you a renewal reminder by email between 30 and 60 days before the deadline to cancel that renewal. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing, the same place you subscribed, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the year you have already paid for.

5. Payments from your clients: Stripe Connect

TaskRel uses Stripe for two separate things, and it matters which is which.

  • Your subscription to TaskRel is billed by us through Stripe. That money is ours.
  • Payments your clients make to you run through Stripe Connect into your own Stripe connected account. That money is yours, and it never belongs to TaskRel.

For client payments:

  • We are not the merchant of record.TaskRel does not sell your services, does not hold, receive, or disburse your client’s funds, and is not a bank, money transmitter, or payment processor. Stripe processes and settles those payments.
  • Stripe’s agreement binds you directly. When you connect a Stripe account through TaskRel, you enter into the Stripe Connected Account Agreementwith Stripe. That agreement governs your ability to accept payments, Stripe’s fees, payout timing, reserves, holds, and account termination. TaskRel cannot override it, waive it, or override a decision Stripe makes about your account.
  • Refunds to your clients are yours to issue. If your client is owed a refund, you owe it and you issue it. TaskRel cannot refund a payment made to your connected account.
  • Chargebacks and disputes are yours to answer. If a client disputes a charge, the dispute, the disputed amount, and any fee land on your Stripe account. TaskRel is not a party to it, does not represent you in it, and does not indemnify you against the outcome. You are responsible for keeping records that support your side.
  • Payouts. Stripe controls when and whether you are paid out. Delays, holds and reserves are between you and Stripe.
  • Fees. Stripe charges its own processing fees on client payments, separate from your TaskRel subscription. TaskRel takes no platform fee, application fee, or commission on payments from your clients.

Card details.TaskRel never sees or stores your card number. Subscription payments are taken on Stripe’s own hosted checkout page, and there is no card field anywhere in TaskRel.

6. Sending to your clients: email, and the consent you owe

TaskRel sends email (via SendGrid) to the recipients you designate, your clients, on your behalf and from your business identity.

TaskRel does not currently send text messages. SMS delivery is built into the product but is switched off and is not offered anywhere in the interface. If it is turned on, these Terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated first.

Read this section carefully; it is the one with real legal consequences for you.

  • You are the sender. You choose the recipient, the content, and the timing. TaskRel is the tool.
  • Consent is your responsibility. You confirm that, for every email address you enter, you have the consent required by law to contact that person, including compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act for commercial email. You are responsible for honouring opt-out and unsubscribe requests promptly and for maintaining records of consent. If SMS is enabled in future, the same obligation extends to phone numbers, including prior express written consent for promotional calls and texts under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and compliance with applicable do-not-call rules.
  • Do not use TaskRel for cold outreach.TaskRel’s messaging exists to deliver quotes, invoices, completion records and job-related follow-ups to clients you already have a relationship with. Do not use it for unsolicited marketing, purchased lists, or bulk prospecting.
  • You indemnify us for this. If a claim is brought against TaskRel because of a message you sent through it, section 12 applies.
  • We can stop it. We may throttle, suspend, or permanently disable sending from your account if we believe it is being used without proper consent, or if a provider or carrier requires it. We may do this without notice where the risk is immediate.
  • Delivery is not guaranteed. Spam filters and provider limits can delay or drop messages. TaskRel does not guarantee that any message is delivered, opened, or read, and is not liable for a message that is not.

7. AI-assisted drafting

TaskRel uses OpenAI, and only OpenAI, to turn the job description, dictation, and details you enter into a draft quote or job card. Your input text is sent to OpenAI to produce that draft.

  • Drafts are drafts. Scope text, line items, quantities, units, and starting prices are suggestions. They can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate for the job.
  • The server recalculates the money. TaskRel recalculates line totals, subtotal, tax and total on the server before saving, and your saved rates override AI-suggested prices where they match. This is an arithmetic and sanity check: it does not make the underlying scope, quantity, rate, tax treatment, or wording correct. A correctly-added total of the wrong line items is still wrong.
  • You own what you send. You are solely responsible for reviewing every line item, price, quantity, tax setting, warranty, policy, and word of client-facing text before it goes out. Once you send it, it is your quote, your invoice, and your commitment to your client.
  • No warranty on AI output.TaskRel makes no representation that AI-assisted output is accurate, complete, compliant with your trade’s licensing or disclosure rules, or fit for any purpose.

8. Your content and your clients' information

You own your content. Business details, clients, quotes, invoices, jobs, photos, signatures, pricing, and everything else you enter stays yours.

You give us permission to run the product. You grant TaskRel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, render, and process your content solely to provide TaskRel to you, which includes generating PDFs, delivering documents to the recipients you designate, and sending your text to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content and we do not use it to advertise to your clients. We do not use your content to train or improve AI models.

Your clients’ information is your responsibility. You decide what client information goes into TaskRel and why. You confirm you have a lawful basis to store and use it, and you are responsible for responding to your clients’ privacy requests. TaskRel processes that information on your instructions, to provide the service.

Client-facing links.TaskRel generates unguessable links for your client’s quote page (/q/…) and job completion record (/jc/…). These pages are not indexed by search engines, but anyone who has the link can open them and, for a quote, can approve, decline, or request changes. Treat the link as you would treat the document itself. TaskRel records the action taken through a link but does not verify the identity of the person who took it, and does not warrant that an approval, decline, or signature captured through TaskRel satisfies any particular legal requirement for a signature or a binding contract between you and your client.

Sent documents are frozen. When you send a quote or invoice, TaskRel stores a PDF copy that reflects exactly what your client received, so both of you can refer to it later.

Feedback. If you send us a suggestion or idea about TaskRel, we may use it without obligation to you. This does not affect your ownership of your content above.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use TaskRel to: send messages without the consent described in section 6; upload content you have no right to; impersonate another business; store payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or health information in free-text fields; break the law or a professional licensing rule; probe, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; resell or white-label TaskRel without our written agreement; or use it to defraud your clients.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates this section, and we may do so immediately where the risk is immediate or where a provider requires it.

10. Availability and support

TaskRel is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not commit to any uptime percentage or response time. Support is by email at support@taskrel.com and is generally handled during business hours; anything on our support page describes our practice, not a guarantee. We may change, add, or remove features. If we plan to permanently discontinue a material feature you rely on, we will make a reasonable effort to give notice in advance.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

As-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskRel is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

No liability for certain things in particular.TaskRel is not liable for: prices, scope, or terms you send to a client; work performed or not performed; a client’s failure to pay; a payment, refund, chargeback, hold, or payout on your Stripe connected account; a message that a spam filter does not deliver; or the acts of your clients.

Cap.To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskRel’s total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of TaskRel is limited to the amount you paid TaskRel in the 12 months before the claim, and TaskRel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or lost data.

Some states do not allow certain exclusions; where that is so, the exclusion applies to the fullest extent allowed.

12. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sierra Link L.L.C. and its owners from any claim, loss, liability, penalty, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your content; your use of TaskRel; any message sent through TaskRel to a recipient you designated, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and do-not-call claims; the work you agreed to do for a client; a dispute between you and a client; or your violation of these Terms or of law.

13. Termination

You may stop using TaskRel and cancel at any time (section 4). We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, for non-payment, or where a provider or the law requires it.

Your data on termination. You can permanently delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes your contractor profile and your business records (clients, quotes, invoices, jobs, and pricing) together with every file stored for your account: quote and invoice PDFs, your uploaded logo, job photos, job card photos, and client signatures. Deletion is irreversible. Export what you want to keep before you delete it.Some records may persist where we are required to keep them, and billing records held by Stripe follow Stripe’s own retention rules.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give notice by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use TaskRel after that means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, cancel your subscription.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and TaskRel agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, please email support@taskrel.com and give us 30 days to resolve it with you directly. Most disputes are billing questions and we would rather just fix them.

16. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and TaskRel. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale of the business. Nothing here creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship, and there are no third-party beneficiaries, including your clients.
